DISCOVEING
YOUR IDENTITY
Judges 6:11-12
And there came an angel of the Lord, and
sat under an oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the Abiezrite:
and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the
Midianites. And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him, and said unto him, The
Lord is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.
2 WAYS TO FIND
YOUR IDENTITY
1.
Do
Not Look At CIRCUMSTANCES
2.
Listen TO WHAT GOD HAS TO SAY ABOUT YOU
How To DECIDE
YOUR ACTIVITY
1. Don’t
Wait for strength You Don’t Have
2. Go
in the strength You Dou Have (God)
3. DETERMINE
YOUR Capacity do not Rely on your Resources
(you
are not enough) then Watch God use your weakness because you are not strong enough
Judges 6:13-14
And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if
the Lord be with us, why then is all this befallen us? And where be all his miracles which our
fathers told us of, saying, did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt? But now the Lord hath forsaken us, and
delivered us into the hands of the Midianites. And the Lord looked upon him,
and said, go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the
Midianites: have not I sent thee?
God’s process for using our weaknesses to bring him glory:
1.
God reduces our resources
2.
God magnifies our need
3.
Someone Trust God with what little they have
Judges 7:2
And
the Lord said unto Gideon, The people that are with thee are too many for me to
give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel vaunt themselves against me,
saying, mine own hand hath saved me.
Judges 7:7
And
the Lord said unto Gideon, By the three hundred men that lapped will I save
you, and deliver the Midianites into thine hand: and let all the other people go
every man unto his place.
Judges 7:16
And he divided the three hundred men into
three companies, and he put a trumpet in every man's hand, with empty pitchers,
and lamps within the pitchers.
We need to depend on God he uses the little we have to show how
great He is
God
Works through us to accomplish his will. to show his power and glory
I
want to hide in my weakness but God wants to use my weakness to change the
world
I
am the Least likely to do Gods will and task but he has called the least likely
To Change The world
2 Corinthians 12:9-10
And he said unto me, my grace is
sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly
therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may
rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in
necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am
weak, then am I strong.
2 things I must understand to accomplish Gods call on my life
(1)
Under my own power I will fail
(2)
God will never fail what he has called me to do
We Must Stand
Strong On God`s Promises
Judges 6:15-16
And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I
save Israel? Behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my
father's house. And the Lord said unto him, surely I will be with thee, and
thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.
